Jenny is a referral partner of JMA Psychology, with her own practice - Berkshire Psychology (www.berkshirepsychology.co.uk). Jenny has worked for many years in health and social services, gaining experience with children and adults with a range of social, emotional, behavioural, mental health and learning difficulties within community and inpatient settings. Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist in 2009 she has been involved in assessing and providing interventions for children and adolescents with a wide range of needs including emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties, autism and learning disabilities. She has also facilitated parenting workshops for parents of children with behavioural difficulties and autism. Since April 2011 she has been working in a Tier 4 specialist service in which she undertakes consultations and training to other professionals as well as providing specialist assessments and intervention to young people with a range of needs who present with risky behaviour. She has completed additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a recommended treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and is widely used with anxiety disorders. As an independent practitioner, Jenny undertakes assessments of children and families, contributing expert witness reports for family proceedings. She is a guest tutor at Reading University (Improving Access to Personal Therapy Parenting Course) and Oxford University (Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology). Jenny has a special interest in learning disabilities and developmental disorders including Autistic Spectrum disorders. She is also interested in working with young people who present with anxiety disorders including phobias, panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
